For the second time, Lucy Nyokabi Mathenge was not present to take a plea for obtaining 640 thousand From John Ngaruiya in a pretense to sell a piece of land in Ruai. The lawyer of the accused Githonga Muriuki argued that her client is sick and elderly asking for seven days before producing her in court. The lawyer for the complainant Mrs Achieng Otieno argued that it has been a trend where the accused absconded court with excuses as she confirmed to court that the accused was outside the courtroom in a black brado which they gave a number plate to the court. The magistrate gave until 26 August 2024 for Lucy to avail herself to court for the plea and said all arguments will continue after the accused takes the plea in court.
